Science and Metaphysics

There are fields of science in which we have only hypotheses (from a very few experts), but no decisive experiments have been conducted to confirm or falsify them. When such experiments do take place (as in the case of the Higgs boson), all the few experts agree.

In the realm of metaphysics, however, there are no decisive experiments, and the same arguments are repeated over millennia, with each person making their own judgment.

I am not saying that physics provides certainties while metaphysics does not, but simply that they involve very different ways of acquiring knowledge.
