Property in Primitive Times
Primitive humans lived off what nature
provided, just like any other animal, and therefore did not conceive of private
property: the earth is the mother of all. When humanity reached the stage of
agriculture, products became the result of human labor—cultivating, irrigating,
sowing, harvesting, and tending the land—making it seem natural for them to be
considered property.
In any case, the question in the 21st century is whether private initiative or
the nationalization of resources works better and brings greater prosperity to
the masses. History has provided a clear and definitive answer.
