The Land of a People
In reality, no people are originally from any specific land; all have moved from one land to another. The land belongs to those born there: therefore, if in 1948 Palestine belonged to the Arabs, currently, for the same reason, the land of Israel belongs to the Jewish people.
For example, Kosovo is Albanian even though it was once the cradle of Serbian civilization, Constantinople is Turkish even though it was the capital of the Christian Greek Empire, and so on.
Similarly, the children of migrants born in Italy have a right to citizenship, which they are granted at least by the age of 18, just as Italian migrants in other countries become citizens of those nations.
