Galilei
In reality, during his time, it was not true that geocentrism was the scientific truth and that heliocentrism was merely a prejudice, perhaps a religious superstition. Both theories could be considered valid based on the experiences of that era, but later, new and broader observations validated heliocentrism and disproved geocentrism. In theory, we can imagine that further experiences might reconfirm geocentrism, but at this historical moment, everyone agrees with heliocentrism based on what scientists say, which the average person cannot directly verify.
