Arab Culture
When we speak of Arab culture, we are not
referring to the Bedouin Arabs of the deserts, but to those who spoke Arabic and
were the heirs of the ancient civilizations of the Middle East, which flourished
again with the unification brought by Arab conquests. Arab civilization does not
originate from the Arabs themselves, but from the Greeks, Phoenicians, Egyptians,
and others.
Islam then spread to the Persians, the Turkmen peoples of Central Asia, the
Indian world, and later to the Malays (I believe Indonesia is the largest
Islamic state), and to sub-Saharan Africa. These are many different
civilizations.
