Fallen in war
In war, some suffer more losses, others less: in Gaza, Israelis also fall, and
from Gaza, missiles are still launched toward Israel.
During World War II, the U.S. did not suffer civilian casualties, while Germany,
Japan (and partly Italy) were flattened. But this is certainly not a fault of
the Americans, and indeed, the 25 million war dead are blamed on Germany and
Japan, who started the tragic conflict.
The war ended when Japan and Germany surrendered. If HAMAS were to announce its
withdrawal from Gaza (not even surrendering), the war would be over. For a long
truce that could lift up Gaza, perhaps it would be enough just to return the
hostages.
