The Rigors of Sexual Ethics
The rigors of sexual ethics are not a religious matter; in fact, the age of greatest rigor, the Victorian era, coincides with the rise of anti-religious positivism, and even realized communism considered sexual laxity an aspect of bourgeois decadence. The problem is that the Catholic Church struggles to accept the innovations of the last 50 years in sexual morality, which still exists and, in some aspects, is more rigid than the previous one.
