Crisis of Democracies
Historically, it has never happened that a functioning democracy has been replaced by a dictatorship. The dictatorships that spread almost everywhere in the last century (communists and fascists) arose from the failure of democracies that were fundamentally unable to govern due to political and party fragmentation. Hence, the importance of electoral systems that ensure governability.
