Values
Value judgments (e.g., slavery is wrong) depend on the values we have chosen: for instance, in antiquity, it was not considered wrong because they did not accept the same values we do. For example, Achilles taking as a sexual slave a girl whose family he has exterminated would be, in our view, an infamous person worthy of all infamy, while for the ancients, he was a great hero worthy of all honors. Now, values certainly change according to times and places and cannot be objective, not even in the scientific sense of being relative to the state of research. In fact, in science, there is no democracy, which has instead taken hold in those societies that have discovered science.
