China and the West
It seems to me that the difference is that in the West, politicians are elected
by the people in a free and pluralistic context, while in China, there is a
self-referential political class that proclaims itself as the people's
self-awareness. Now, it may also be that this latter system is better than ours,
at least for China, but the mixed economy system is the same.
It's just that here it's much, much more tilted in favor of the workers, so much
so that we can't compete with the Chinese in terms of prices.
