Evangelical Communism
The communism of the early communities is very different from that proposed by
Marx concerning the means of production in industrial society. They were groups
whose highest aspiration was the goods of heaven and the disdain for earthly
goods: it's an entirely different issue from the emancipation from poverty of
the lower classes in socialism. It is still practiced today in monasteries.
These are groups that consider themselves families and therefore, as with any
family, goods are held in common.
