Jerusalem
We talk about Jerusalem as if it were a single city, but in reality, it consists
of three distinct entities: Israeli Jerusalem is a modern city with large
buildings and wide avenues. Then there is the Old City enclosed within the walls
of Solomon, which is an open-air religious museum maintained by various
communities. Finally, there is the Arab periphery, which is increasingly poor
and underdeveloped.
