Sacred Scriptures

From a social and political standpoint, it doesn't matter whether the sacred scriptures of any religion are true or not; what matters is only that they are believed to be true by a certain number of people. The Quran may even be a pile of nonsense, but a billion people believe in it, and that's why it's politically significant.
