Religion in Israel

Religion no longer identifies Jews as it did in the past. Nowadays, believers make up around 20%, similar to rates in the West or in China, and they are divided into dozens of orientations, much like evangelical groups in America. Those who believe that Palestine is a gift from God and therefore consider it sacrilegious to cede any part of it are estimated to be around 5%, roughly equivalent to American fundamentalists.
