Natural Selection

When life was harsh (natural), men soldiers would march 60 km with backpacks, women would give birth to 10 children without medical assistance, and laundry was done by the stream. Now we live in an era with cars and washing machines. The fact is, back then only the strong, both men and women, survived to the age of reproducing (natural selection), whereas today even the weak survive and reproduce. However, I don't see how we could remedy this; we can't just stop treating sick children! Today, the best, the winners, are no longer the physically strongest but the most intelligent, or rather, the most suited to modern life, which requires less and less physical strength. The advancement of women also depends on the fact that physical strength is less and less required in jobs, even in warfare.
