Software in place of the judge
Judicial software is not feasible because it presupposes that laws are applicable in a mathematically precise manner, whereas, like all human affairs, they always need interpretation. It is said that laws are abstract and that the judge's task is to apply those abstract rules to concrete yet always different facts, thus rendering them always equal. This can only be a human task: computer language is always based on yes or no, while human language is based on yes and no.
