 Holy Wars

A pope who would proclaim a crusade today would be overwhelmed by ridicule, while an ayatollah proclaiming jihad is followed by masses of aspiring shahids. The fact does not depend so much on religious differences (which do exist) as on the evolution of the West: in the past, holy wars were proclaimed by both religions.
